Marine Novita is the Co-Dounder and President Director of MilikiRumah, a social proptech aimed to help more people to own a home through a rent-to-own scheme enabled by AI.

After years in PropertyGuru Indonesia, Marine decided to address home ownership problem right at its core, financial access. In the country where 60 percent of the workforce are earning in informal sector and Buy Now, Pay Later products getting wildly popular, the access to mortgage increasingly becomes a challenge. Amid ambitious push for three million houses set by the Indonesian government, MilikiRumah offers a solution to one of the biggest pain point in home ownership; to transform underbanked population to become bankable.

Marine and her fellow ex-PropertyGuru team up in MilikiRumah to build a proprietary technology, based on Machine Learning to help connect property developers, financial institutions, and home seekers, to move forward into a unique rent-to-own program with mentorship and financial education. MilikiRumah SaaS (Software as a Service) which consists of prospect screening, profiling, and property-specific AI chatbot is currently being used by more than 20 developers across Indonesia to provide more responsive consumer experience.

Marine Novita is a proptech veteran with more than 20 years of experience and leadership roles in Jobstreet, Kompas.com, OLX.com, and Rumah.com in the past. Marine holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Indonesia and a Master’s in Management from Pelita Harapan University. Marine is an active member of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) and holds a strong influence in the property sector through contributions to the association’s Strategy and Research Team.
