Penny Trinh

Vice President, Mixed-Use Development, Asia Pacific (ex-Greater China), Marriott International

Penny Trinh is the Vice President, Mixed-Use Development, Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China), at Marriott International. She is responsible for driving the growth of the branded residences business in the region. Penny has successfully led growth efforts for the largest stand-alone branded residences project globally, comprising over 2,500 units, under JW Marriott and Marriott brands in Vietnam.

Prior to her residential development role in 2022, Penny was part of Marriott’s Hotel Development team for over a decade, focusing on expanding Marriott International’s presence and introducing new brands to Vietnam and Thailand. Throughout her tenure, she has executed 60 hotel transactions, comprising over 17,000 rooms, and played a pivotal role in major portfolio transactions, including the single largest transactions in Thailand (7 hotels, over 3,000 rooms) in 2013 and Vietnam (8 hotels, over 2,500 rooms) in 2022. In 2017, Penny achieved a record signing year for Marriott in Vietnam, adding 1,000 units to the company’s portfolio.

Penny holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and international business from Wheeling Jesuit University.
