Rachanee Chanawatr is an Asia-Pacific Principal Investment Officer at International Financial Corporation (IFC), an institute under World Bank Group, working in early-stage engagements with private sector to create development and investment projects driving for economic, social and environmental impact in emerging markets.
In real estate sector, “Green Building” is a Priority for IFC. Green Buildings Market Transformation Program (GBMTP) is IFC’s holistic strategy to steer construction in rapidly urbanising economies onto lower-carbon path in alignment with Global Standards through simulation software tool and an internationally recognised green building certification system, EDGE (Excellent Design for Greater Efficiency). The program supports both new property development and retrofitting existing properties. IFC enables Green Building implementations with Climate Financing.
Beyond buildings in multiple sectors, Rachanee is also working at IFC towards city transformation with an actionable approach to “Green” Cities that can play a critical role in achieving global climate goals.
