Rani Kaur is Managing Director at Bank of Singapore, a USD100 billion wealth and investment management firm based out of Singapore. As the Head of Strategy and Business Management for the South Asia and Middle East & North Africa businesses, Rani is responsible for business-wide management and strategic planning across Singapore and Dubai. She oversees all parts of business operations including sales, corporate structuring, enterprise risk management, Go-to-Market & Revenue growth strategies, business transformation and operational/financial performance improvement.

Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, she was the Head of Business Management at Barclays Asia, where she led the Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai businesses through a Front-to-Back migration program as part of the acquisition by Bank of Singapore. She also fronted the bank’s digital transformation plan in Asia, working closely with global Product Owners.

Over her last 14 years in wealth management that began at UBS AG in a client-facing role, Rani has directed business requirements in complex, critical global and regional projects with significant revenue and reputational impact through successful cross-functional collaboration with Product Specialists, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology and Finance. The earlier years of her career were spent in business development and marketing within the healthcare and tourism sectors in South East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East.

Rani aspires to be a recognised voice for young professionals in need of guidance, especially young women in finance. She is a seasoned mentor and regularly contributes her time to educational institutions, mentorship programmes and podcasts on social learning platforms. She is actively involved with the Harvard Business school alumni network as well as the UAE-Singapore Business Council. On the personal front, she enjoys practising yoga and learning about new cultures, food, and wine through her travels.
