Throughout his nineteen-year tenure at SOM, Scott Duncan has created groundbreaking designs in cities around the world. As a leader in sustainable design and technological innovation, Duncan’s broad body of work has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects and the Municipal Art Society of New York. Duncan has extensive experience leading design strategies for complex projects, includin large-scale mixed-use, transporation, commercial, hospitality, and residential developments.

Duncan’s work has been published in A+U, Architectural Record, Casabella, Forbes Publications, Metropolis, The New York Times, The Phaidon Atlas of World Architecture, along with the SOM Journal, an annual publication featuring selections of the firm’s best work as chosen by an external panel of experts. His work at SOM was also exhibited at the Chicago Athenaeum, the Skyscraper Museum, and the 2002 Venice Biennale. Duncan also serves on the advisory board for the SOM Foundation Travel Fellowship.
