New route to boost tourism in Dinagat Islands, Siargao in the Philippines

The newly opened route from the province of Dinagat Islands to Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte is expected to rapidly boost the tourism industry in both islands of the Philippines, according to PNA.

Officials underscored this during the formal opening of the new route on 22nd April with the rollout of the maiden voyage from Del Carmen town in Siargao to Cagdianao in Dinagat.

Alfredo Coro II, the mayor of Del Carmen, led the delegation from Siargao Island during its maiden voyage. After an hour-long journey, Dinagat Island Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. and Mayor Marc Adelson Longos welcomed the group upon their arrival at Cagdianao port.

Goodman Group plans to drive into data centres in Australia

Industrial property powerhouse the Goodman Group is in talks with global funds manager Barings about selling it an industrial portfolio worth up to AUD800 million.

The deal would see the international funds house acquire a series of properties in Sydney and Melbourne, bolstering its portfolio, which has been supported by major local superannuation funds. Superannuation funds are expanding their exposure to industrial property amid confidence the sector remains a key area of opportunity to deliver long-term value to members.

On the ground, the industrial property world is being transformed by the advent of data centres which are trading at prices that confound traditional metrics amid surging demand that is being driven by the AI revolution.

realcommercial.com.au reports that Goodman is leading the charge among traditional property companies but other major groups are also looking to get in on the action to boost returns, which is spurring trading of existing industrial assets.
